In the Province range, Astrolabe emphasises the varietal intensity created by Marlborough's leafy vineyards, ripe fruit and cool-climate winegrowing conditions. The powerful fruit expression is the most recognisable feature of a Marlborough Pinot Noir. This Pinot Noir has nice fruit weight and density, lovely floral aroma profile and mineral structure. A full-bodied wine with round, mouth-filling flavours of plum, brambly fruit, dark cherry and a hint of savoury herbs. The oak integrates nicely with the fruit and the silky and linear tannin structure. A brighter and more lively style of Pinot Noir built around a core of red cherry flavours. It is all about life in the fruit, good acidity and plush drinkability.

The palate is harmonious with rich dark berries and a savoury line underneath. A hint of spice and dried thyme complement the succulent fruit. Fine silky tannins frame the wine with a great flow and finish.
