Our winemakers first craft beautifully rich red wines matured in traditional wine barrels. Then using our unique double barrel technique, the wine is finished in aged whisky barrels to build additional layers of complexity and an incredibly smooth finish. Double barrel cabernet sauvignon has aromas of vanilla, nuts and varietal cassis with ground spice and leafy notes.

All the characteristics of the distinctive new word are captured in our South Australian wines. This wine features black currant, mulberry and vanilla bean aromas, complemented by spicy plum flavours and a lovely, long finish.

Dark ruby red colour. Rich berry fruit aromas matched with vanilla and coconut characters. Typical Cabernet Sauvignon drive and intensity, balanced with plush Merlot providing roundness and structure.

Well-regarded since launch, the Koonunga Hill Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the typical cellarability that all Penfolds wines are renowned for. The wine has excellent structure and length and while it is ready for drinking now, it will gain further complexity with short term cellaring.

Pepperjack is a tribute to the Barossa's rich heritage. Traditional wine making techniques combined with an eye to modern styles led to this range of wine. The colour is impressive, big and rich with fine grained chalky tannins carrying the concentrated dark fruits and opulent oak.

This is a wine of great intensity. It has distinctive blackcurrant and cassis fruit flavours. Subtle oak characters of cedar cigar box and spice are also evident. The tannins are fine and elegant - a hallmark of the varietal. The palate is well balanced, complex and fulfilling and lingers on the finish.

This is a rich full-bodied wine yet at the same time, remains in balanced across the palate with fine, elegant tannins – the hallmark of great Cabernet.
