Distilled on the shores of the Sound of Islay since 1846 using pure water from Loch Nam Ban, it captures the essence of Islay with clarity, finesse, and enduring appeal. Pale straw in colour, this fresh and smooth-bodied whisky opens with a clean, appetising nose of subtle citrus fruit, fresh herbs, and a gentle wisp of peat smoke. The palate begins sweetly and softly, developing into a fragrant, balanced smokiness before concluding with a lingering, sweet-smoke finish.

This 12YO Aberlour has been matured in two cask types, traditional oak and Sherry oak casks. Especially selected every year, they are filled with whisky and quietly aged for a minimum of twelve years; then the casks are married together.
