Marlborough is known all over the world for producing fresh and crisp sauvignon blanc with a characteristic quality that can’t be replicated.

The first Friday in May is International Sauvignon Blanc Day. Now in it’s 14th year, it’s a highlight on the Marlborough wine calendar, with local and global events that celebrate the varietal that really put NZ on the wine making map.

So, before you pour a glass of Marlborough’s finest, take a look at what we’ll be drinking.

Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc

Established in 1994 and named after the Southern landmark range of the Wither Hills that border the vineyards, Wither Hills has always been dedicated to the philosophy that exceptional wines are created in the vineyard. Now one of New Zealand's most popular brands - Wairau Valley, at it's best

Squealing Pig Sauvignon Blanc

Sourced from hidden vineyards in the Awatere Valley, this little pig is packed with passionfruit and herbaceous aromas on the nose. On the palate, it’s all about crisp, citrus flavours with a long finish. Best to drink when young and fresh.

Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc

Stunningly aromatic tropical fruits and bright citrus notes, with a refreshing zesty finish. A zest for the extraordinary.

Graham Norton's Own Sauvignon Blanc

Heady, sweet-scented tropical and citrus aromas jump out from the glass, while being supported by that classic New Zealand herbaceousness. A hugely mouth-filling, with unfolding layers of fruit, a long textural palate and fantastic crisp acidity.
