The palate definitely leans into the sous bois character; there are notes of wild strawberry and rosehip and savoury characters reminiscent of porcini mushroom. Overall, this gives the impression of a walk in the forest to forage for mushrooms and autumnal berries. The tannins are tightly wound, providing a firm framework, and a soft acidity gives a rain-water-like freshness. Food match: This wine will pair well with flavoursome dishes that have a bit of weight and richness to them. Think about trying risotto with roast pumpkin and sage, osso bucco with creamy polenta or even chicken and leek pot pie.
